Master portfolio – for income investors
This section examines master investment portfolios for investors looking for an income-generating portfolio.
Income portfolios typically combine a long term outlook with a conservative risk profile. Portfolios need to generate a reasonable income stream, ideally growing with time, as well as being protected against inflation. Income investors can’t readily benefit from sectors like technology, where dividends are rare (pace Apple, Microsoft and a few other conspicuous exceptions).
The UK stock market tends to deliver higher levels of dividend income than the US, and it makes sense for UK income investors to be more UK-centric than growth-centric investors could be.
This means there is really only question you need to decide next: do you want to focus on ethical/sustainable investments?
Come on anon, let’s be polite. I thought it was fine.
(Should iShares Sustainable World ETF ticker be SUSW?)

Rod – thanks for the support! SUWS is USD distributing class; SUSW is EUR Accumulating class. Obvs (not!).

Neat tool! My broker is quite expensive for fx which is a pity for SUWS / SUSW when so many other things are chewing away at returns.
